Unfortunately, I can not post my stories online because that would make them pre-published. But I will, ocasionally, write a silly poem or short story that lingers in the back of my mind.
Most of the time, the short story or poem that I post will be kid related. Periodically, it will be about my hopes and dreams. All of the time, it is intended to make you laugh. When the man upstairs made me, he super-sized my funny bone.
This limerick is a funny version of my writing game plan. It's funny because it's unlikely. Most children's authors are not rich. Unless I write the next Harry Potter or Percy Jackson series, I can only hope for moderate success and the admiration of my peers-kind of like my career in education.

who used personification, imagery, and onomatopoeia.
She wrote and she wrote,
until she could purchase a boat.
Then she set sail for the island of Jamaica.

personally I would get your stuff out there on your blog You may have a better platform if you get a large readership to publish then if you hold back. Several people I know had there work on blogs and now it's published. What's the point of blogging otherwise.
ReplyDeletemy stuuf is all over the place which probably isn't good but that's me. I am a children's writer that's probably the one thing you aren't going to see except the Saturday Short) Story hour I am creating on my blog for kids. You are welcome to write for that if your want. What memes do is link a story from the host site back to your site where the work is posted. The advantage of participating is your traffic will increase.
Have fun with this blogging stuff. I started about six months ago and have met incredible writers who are now my friends. Enjoy the ride!
A suggestion to help? (just my opinion)- don't tell my you want to make me laugh. For some reason it put the kabosh in me.
